Westmore Mountain Challenge

The Westmore Mountain Challenge is a one-day trail run in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, covering five mountains—Moose, Hor, Pisgah, Haystack and Bald—for a total distance of about 26 miles and roughly 6,100 feet of elevation gain. The course traverses public trails on steep terrain, with a shuttle-assisted route that can be chosen as shorter legs (11.7, 15.8, or 20.5 miles), up to the full marathon, including a road segment to NorthWoods. Support includes water, snacks, a rest station at Long Pond, and a finish celebration at NorthWoods. The event emphasizes community and conservation, with trails built and maintained by NorthWoods’ Conservation Corps, and features the Jean Haigh Memorial Award scholarship.
