A 15 mile mountain trail race in Juneau that climbs to the summit of Mt. Juneau and follows the Juneau Ridge. The event requires mandatory safety gear, has limited aid checkpoints and enforces a 2 hour 30 minute summit time limit.

July 2026

Experience the diverse terrain of Wrangell Island in this grassroots Alaskan ultra marathon. Run 40 miles of boardwalks and forest trails as a solo participant or part of a relay team.

The 98th Mount Marathon in Seward, Alaska on July 4, 2026 features uphill-and-back races with multiple distances and entry categories, including junior, open, non-binary, and golden over-70 events.

Weekly 5K races and kids fun runs take place on Mondays in July and early August at Tsalteshi Trails in Soldotna. Individual weeks cost $15 while an all races package is $60, and virtual results are accepted via common running apps.

Backyard Ultra on July 11, 2026 in Palmer, AK at Government Peak Recreation Area. Runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop with about 500 ft elevation per loop until one finisher remains; the field is capped at 75 and registration opens Jan 1, 2026..

A trail half marathon at Ward Lake in Ketchikan on July 11 2026 featuring about 14 miles on local trails and four aide stations. Entry follows a sliding scale and relay teams of up to four runners are allowed.

Two self supported ultras on the historic Resurrection Pass Trail in Alaska are held July 24 and 25, 2026. Routes link Hope and Cooper Landing on a National Recreation Trail managed by the US Forest Service.

A 6.1 mile mountain trail race at Alyeska Resort on July 25, 2026, featuring 3,912 feet of vertical gain and a field capped at 600. The route climbs from the DayLodge to alpine ridgelines and returns via Max's Mountain trail.

A non-profit trail half marathon in Delta Junction hosted by Alaska Flour Company, routed through barley fields and dirt roads with chip timing, aid stations, youth and military discounts, and post-race festivities.

Run a historic four mile out and back trail in Valdez Alaska. This exclusive event is limited to forty participants and follows the original 1898 route used by gold seekers and the US Army.

A summer trail race in Haines, Alaska covering 11.5 mile through rainforest and along an alpine ridgeline. Shuttle service to the start is available and race proceeds support the Haines Glacier Bears school cross country programs.

August 2026

Mountain road and mountain courses on Hatcher Pass Road near Willow, Alaska, offering a slightly-longer-than-marathon, a roughly 54-mile 50 Mile, and a three-person relay. Courses feature significant elevation gain and seven aid stations.

Drew's Angel Creek 50 near Fairbanks, Alaska features point to point trail races in 50 mile and 50K distances with mixed hard pack and technical ridge terrain. Drop bag support and a shuttle from Chena Hot Springs Resort are provided.

Run De Tour is a two part trail running event in Anchorage on June 14 and Aug. 1st, using Double Bubble and Spencer Trails. Distances include 20 km, 10 km, and 5 km; fees apply and entries are non refundable.

An annual Musk Ox Farm fundraiser with on farm 1K kids run, 5K and 10K courses plus a virtual option. The unpaved pasture route crosses 75 acres with mountain views and musk oxen observed from their pastures.

Kesugi Ridge Traverse on August 8, 2026 in Denali State Park offers a 31 miles full course and a 14.2 miles half course, limited to 100 entrants with online registration and an $85 entry fee.
