Sawtooth Backcountry

Sawtooth Backcountry is a fall alpine weekend rendezvous focused on trail running, camping, and exploring mountain lakes, meadows, and larch stands. The course includes steep rocky climbs and offers views of the Sawtooth and Entiat mountain ranges.

The event is staged from Foggy Dew Campground in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Aspire coordinates camping reservations, backcountry permits, shuttles, and meals. On site, participants have access to a group shelter, heaters, a phone/watch/camera charging station, a portable hot shower, and other camp amenities described as a glamp style experience.

Guides provide area information, logistical support, and on-trail backup. The guide team includes female staff members and is positioned to offer safety and group organization. Meals include celebratory breakfasts and dinners plus trail fuel options prepared from whole foods; most dietary needs are accommodated.

Runners travel from a nearby trailhead through the Sawtooth Backcountry. A sample day includes travel to the Crater Creek Trailhead, on-trail routes, and return to Foggy Dew Campground for evening meals and social time. Average time on trail is listed as four to ten hours.
