Fidalgo Trail Run

Anacortes, United States • 26 Sep 2026

Fidalgo Trail Run

Fidalgo Trail Run takes place at Deception Pass State Park with the start and finish at Bowman Bay. The event offers three distances: a 5 mile course, a half marathon and a full marathon. The half marathon is a single loop that the full marathon completes twice.

The course uses loops and lollipops that visit Rosario Head, Lighthouse Point and Lottie Point, then continues near Pass Lake, crosses the Deception Pass Bridge on the pedestrian walkway, circles Goose Rock and includes an out and back to West Beach before returning to Bowman Bay. The bridge remains open to traffic during the event and is about 180 ft high. Runners may encounter other park users on open trails.

Aid stations and volunteers are positioned along the routes and provide food and hydration. Specific aid station mile locations are listed for each distance. Elevation gain is approximately 1300 ft for the 5 mile, 3300 ft for the half and 6600 ft for the full marathon.

Logistics notes include limited parking at Bowman Bay, off-site parking and shuttles for half marathon participants, a cupless policy requiring runners to carry a refillable container, youth and senior discounts, and a free kids race of about 0.6 miles along the Bowman Bay shoreline. Every finisher receives a handmade finisher item produced with solar power in Anacortes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
