The Fidalgo Trail Run is scheduled for September 27, 2025 in Deception Pass State Park, with the start and finish at Bowman Bay (4402 Bowman Bay Rd, Anacortes, WA). Event distances include:

  • Full Marathon
  • Kid’s Race (about 0.6 miles, along the beach at Bowman Bay)

Participants 24 years of age and under receive a 20% discount on registration fees. The event is cupless - all runners must carry a refillable container. Every finisher receives a piece of handmade finisher swag produced using solar power in Anacortes. The race supports environmental measures such as a Trees not Tees option.

Course and logistics

Courses use loops and lollipops that visit Rosario, Lighthouse, and Lottie Points, then head around Pass Lake, across Deception Pass Bridge, over Goose Rock, and out-and-back to West Beach. The full marathon completes two loops of the half-marathon course. Half and full participants cross the Deception Pass Bridge on the pedestrian walkway; the bridge is about 180 ft high and remains open to traffic during the event. Trails are public and other users may be encountered.
