Fidalgo Trail Run
Fidalgo is a trail running event in Anacortes, WA, based at 4402 Bowman Bay Rd. The event offers multiple distances and follows a common course layout with loops, lollipops, and coastal views.
Distances
- Marathon
- Half-Marathon
- 5 Mile
- Kids Race
All distances begin by heading north on the Rosario head loop with views out to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, then pass back through the start and continue south onto the Lighthouse loop and the Lottie Point loop. The 5 Mile course is an abbreviated version of the half-marathon course and returns to the finish after completing some of the loops. The full marathon comprises two loops of the half-marathon course.
Half and full marathon runners continue beyond Lottie Point to Pass Lake, then cross the Deception Pass Bridge to reach the Goose Rock loop and the out-and-back to West Beach before returning across the bridge to the finish. The Deception Pass Bridge has an approximate height of 180 ft, remains open to traffic during the race, and runners use the pedestrian walkway.
The event is produced by Evergreen Trail Runs, a series of trail races in Washington state founded in 2010 and organized as a sister brand to Orca Running. The organizer does not issue refunds for races. Transfer, deferral, and race-switch options exist for a fee and under specified deadlines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
