Fidalgo Trail Run

Fidalgo Trail Run is a trail race held in Deception Pass State Park near Anacortes, Washington. The event starts and finishes at Bowman Bay, a waterfront area with a sandy beach and picnic space. The course uses multiple loops and lollipops that visit shoreline viewpoints at Rosario, Lighthouse, and Lottie Points, continue through forested trails around Pass Lake, cross the Deception Pass Bridge on the pedestrian walkway, circle Goose Rock, and include an out-and-back to West Beach. The full marathon completes two loops of the half-marathon course.

The park remains open during the event and other users may be on the trails. Half and full marathon runners cross the Deception Pass Bridge, which stays open to traffic during the race. There are aid stations on course and volunteers provide food and hydration. The event is cupless; all runners must carry a refillable container.

Elevation gain is listed as approximately: 5 Mile - 1300 ft, Half - 3300 ft, Full - 6600 ft. Aid station locations are provided for each distance. Parking is limited at Bowman Bay and a shuttle serves half-marathon participants from an off-site lot. A Discover Pass is required to park in the state park. Registration is conditional on a Special Use Permit from Washington State Parks. The organizer does not issue refunds; options such as deferral, transfer, or race switch are available with fees and deadlines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
