Miami 100

Miami 100 is an open road ultramarathon covering 100 miles through Miami, Florida. The route travels on pedestrian paths and sidewalks and passes through neighborhoods such as Wynwood, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Calle Ocho, Coconut Grove and Brickell, as well as Ocean Drive and other historic areas. Runners will encounter vehicular traffic and must follow all pedestrian laws.

The event uses progressive navigation rather than a full prepublished course map. The first portion of the map is provided on race morning and the remaining directions are issued at manned checkpoints located approximately every 15 to 20 miles. There are no traditional aid stations; checkpoints provide the next set of directions. Runners are highly dependent on crew support; the race requires a crew for participants who have not previously finished the Miami 100 and limits crews to one vehicle per runner. Previous finishers may choose to run unsupported using drop bags.

Pre-race check in and a mandatory briefing for runners and crew who have not participated in the series before take place the day before the race. Pre-race and post-race activities are held at Hero Martial Arts in Palmetto Bay. Entry is limited to 50 runners. An optional Miami 130 Challenge adds an extra 30 miles immediately after the Miami 100 and has its own time cutoff requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
