Event overview

The Miami 50/50 is an open-road ultramarathon held in Miami, Florida. The event is a 50-mile two-person team race where both teammates run the entire distance together. There are three divisions: Male Team, Female Team, and Co-Ed Team. The race field is limited to 30 teams. Pre-race check-in and packet pick up take place at Hero Martial Arts, 17049 S. Dixie Hwy, Palmetto Bay, FL. A pre-race briefing is scheduled the evening before the race and is mandatory for runners who have not previously participated in the Miami Ultra Race Series.

Course and race format

The course travels through city neighborhoods including Wynwood, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Calle Ocho, Coconut Grove, and Brickell. This is a self-supported event: no crew or aid stations are provided and teams are responsible for their own support. Drop bags are allowed at each checkpoint. Directional cards with step-by-step directions guide teams between checkpoints. The full course map is not released beforehand; the first portion is provided the morning of the race and the remaining route information is issued at manned checkpoints placed approximately every 10-15 miles. The published course time limit for the 2026 event is 16 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
