Miccosukee Glades Runner

The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida stages the Miccosukee Glades Runner on March 14, 2026, with races that begin and finish at the Miccosukee Indian Village near Shark Valley and Tamiami Station in Miami. All courses use paved roads and incorporate the Shark Valley loop within the Everglades.

Distances offered:

  • 5 kilometers
  • 16.5 miles including the complete Shark Valley loop
  • 50 kilometers ultramarathon including sections of Loop Road

Each distance is supported on course by fully stocked aid stations and water stops, plus race monitors and tribal police. Participants receive a finisher's medal; additional event items include a race shirt, a runner goodie bag and food at the finish. The event program on race day includes on-site activities around the Village, including a live alligator show.

A 15 percent discount is available for specified groups such as active duty military, first responders, full-time students, teachers, returning founders and Native American runners.
