Massey Meadow Madness - Half Marathon & 10K
Massey Meadow Madness is a trail race held at the Massey Meadow Trail Head in Dry Fork Canyon, within the Uinta Mountains and Ashley National Forest. The course uses a loop route that passes along the Flume Trail and offers views of fall foliage in Massey Meadow. The event takes place near the city of Vernal.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon 13.3 miles, elevation gain 1,533 ft
- 10K 6.2 miles, elevation gain 839 ft
Both courses include multiple aid and water stations placed at measured mile markers. The half marathon lists aid stations at approximately 1.75, 4.3, 6.9, 8.3, 10.3 and 12.1 miles. The 10K lists aid stations at approximately 1.75, 3.15 and 5.2 miles. Course route files are available in KML and GPX formats for both distances. When a course record is broken, the runner who sets the new record receives a cash prize; a new course record carries a listed prize of $100 and prizes are awarded to both male and female record-setters.
