Cossatot River Trail Run takes place on the River Corridor Trail inside Cossatot River State Park Natural Area in Wickes, Arkansas. The course uses rocky, rooty, grassy and dirt single track trails through the Ouachita Mountains. Historic average temperatures for the event range from about 51 to 72 degrees. Reported elevation gain is about 2000 feet for the half marathon and about 4000 feet for the marathon.

• 10K out n' back trail run
• Half marathon point to point, 12.5 miles
• Marathon 25 miles

Logistics note that the half marathon finish is at the Visitor Center and a shuttle runs from the finish to the half marathon start at Bushy Creek. The marathon does not have a shuttle and a headlamp is required for the marathon start. Required gear for all distances includes a handheld water bottle or hydration vest since this is a no cup event. Crew access is allowed at aid and water stations and drop bags are available for marathon runners at the Brushy aid station. Aid stations provide water, snacks, hot and cold foods, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice at various miles. Awards include a race t shirt, a finisher medal, first place awards for male and female in each distance and a dead last award for the marathon.
