Cossatot River Trail Run

Wickes, United States • 26 Sep 2026

Event Overview

The Cossatot River Trail Run is a trail endurance event with distances of 12.5 miles ("Half Marathon") and 25 miles ("Marathon"). It takes place in Cossatot River State Park in Wickes, Arkansas.

Course Details

The race uses the River Corridor Trail, a point-to-point and out-and-back single-track trail. The trail surface is rocky, rooty, grassy, and dirt. The course is hilly, with approximately 2000 feet of elevation gain for the half marathon and 4000 feet for the marathon. The race is a "no cup" event, so participants must bring their own water-carrying system.

Schedule and Logistics

The event finishes at the park's Visitor Center in Wickes. A shuttle is provided for half marathon participants from the Visitor Center to the start at Bushy Creek Recreation Area. Packet pickup opens on race morning.

Participant Perks

Registered participants receive an event tee (if ordered by the specified deadline) and a finisher medal. Awards are given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in each distance, as well as a "DFL" award for the last marathon finisher. The event includes aid stations with food and hydration, course photography, a fully marked and supported course, and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
