The Run Baby Run 5K Benefiting NICU Babies is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Lexington, KY at Coldstream Park/Legacy Trail (1850 Pisacano Drive, 40511). This is the fifth annual running of the event. Distances and participation options include:

  • 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
  • Kid's Dash - 1/4 mile for children 10 and under
  • 5K Virtual Participant

Entry fees listed on the event page are $20 for the 5K, $10 for the Kid's Dash, $30 for the virtual 5K, and volunteer registration is free.

Features and beneficiary

The course runs on the Legacy Trail through Coldstream Park and is described as flat and fast. Race features include commemorative T-shirts for participants, free race photos, chip timing, and awards for the top three male and female overall finishers and for age groups in five-year divisions. The event supports the Snow Bunny Baby Project. One hundred percent of race proceeds go to purchase diapers, wipes, and baby wash to be donated at Christmas to families with babies in NICUs in 11 hospitals in Kentucky and Ohio. Trail runs nearby

Run through scenic trails at Talon Winery with 5K and 10K cross country courses, then celebrate with live music and a tasting. All finishers get an award and adults receive a drink ticket for one glass of Talon wine.
