Trail Running calendar near Wrexham 2025-2026

Challenge yourself on the Flower Scar Fell Race near Todmorden a winter fell race covering 13.3 km with 660 m of ascent across steep climbs, rough moor and fast paths. Full FRA winter kit is mandatory and advance entry is required.

Doctors Gate Fell Race in the Peak District is a classic 12.7 mile course with about 1000 m of climb across open moorland where navigation matters. Open to adults with on the day entry available, it is part of the FRA English Champs.

Take on a scenic off road 9.5 km two lap course around Kinver Edge and the famous Rock Houses in Stourbridge. Open to runners 14 and over, the event promises finish goodies, a medal and prizes for top male and female finishers.

Castle 2 Castle Ultra is a sold out 32 miles run from Powis Estate in Welshpool to Caffi Wylfa in Chirk, blending fast flat paths, rolling footpaths and open views. Prizes await top finishers and everyone gets a finisher plate and goodies.

Take on the 43rd South Shropshire Circular on 28 February 2026, a 25 miles route with about 4675 ft ascent that tests navigation and endurance. The course is revealed on the day with checkpoints and a 10 hour time limit.

Granny's Bay Challenge on 8 March 2026 in Lytham St Annes offers a scenic, flat 5.24 mile estuary loop. This 6 hour timed event lets you run as many laps as you like and earn an official time and medal after one lap; entries limited to 100.

Join the March Hare's Final Run in Penistone, a 7 hour timed challenge on a flat 6.55 mile lap course and run as many laps as you can. Finishers get a 2026 medal and goody bag plus hot drinks and cake.
