The Groovy Kinder Love weekend event is scheduled for 5 September 2026 in Hayfield, Peak District, England. The race base is the Scout Hut on Swallow House Lane (SK22 2HB). Entry is open by pre-entry and on-the-day; fees are listed at £10 for pre-entry and £12 for entry on the day. The combined entry limit is 200 runners and the minimum age is 18. The event is run under Fell Runners Association (FRA) regulations and will include a 100% kit check.

Course and rules

Two linked fell races start together and share much of the route before splitting at three locations: the Pennine Way junction/Top of Jacob's Ladder (CP4), Broad Clough ford (CP7), and the bottom of Sandy Heys / Benny's Bridge (CP10). There is a time cut-off at the bottom of Sandy Heys (three hours thirty minutes). The course is mainly unmarked across high mountain terrain and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI); navigational skills and prior experience are required.

  • Groovy Baby (BM) - 15.5 km / climb 650 m

Mandatory kit includes a waterproof whole-body cover with taped seams, hat and gloves, map and compass suitable for the course, whistle, and emergency food. Herod Farm Fell Race is a classic mid-week fell run. The course covers 3 miles with 1,100ft of ascent. Race HQ at Jubilee House offers parking, toilets, and post-race refreshments.

A social 10k trail run from Kickback Coffee in Bollington with free coffee on arrival, stiles and steady climbs, panoramic views, and dogs welcome though leads may be required through fields.

A 230 km Pennine Bridleway trail challenge to be completed within 75 hours, crossing Peak District and Yorkshire moors to finish in Cumbria. Indoor checkpoints provide hot meals, sleeping space and water support.

A 137 km trail challenge on the Pennine Bridleway with a 50 hour cut-off, indoor checkpoints, bunkroom accommodation and GPX navigation support. Entry is limited to 20 participants and total ascent is 3275 m.
