Rasselbock Backyard Ultra - Hardwick Hall

Doe Lea, United Kingdom • 5 Sep 2026

Event overview

Rasselbock Backyard Ultra - Hardwick Hall is scheduled for Saturday 5 September 2026 at Hardwick Hall Estate in Derbyshire. This is the eighth Rasselbock Backyard Ultra. The event is based in the footprint of the hall and uses routes that run across the estate grounds and farmland. In 2025 the organiser sold 190 places and had a little over 200 people on the wait list.

Format and logistics

The event uses a repeated loop format. Competitors must start the same 4.161-mile loop at the start of each hour. The race has no fixed total distance or time; runners continue until only one runner remains. The organiser removed the night loop for 2026 and will use a single route around the estate. The event description notes the course includes flatter routes than some other venues.

Entries and environment

The listed entry fee is £115. The organiser partners with OceanBottle and removes one kilogram of ocean-bound plastic for every entrant. Entries open on a specified date in the organiser’s schedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
