The Dovedale Dipper

The Dovedale Dipper is a trail event on Saturday 1 August 2026 based in the village of Hartington in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire. The event offers two route options that explore the White Peak area and the hills, valleys and villages on the Derbyshire-Staffordshire border.

Available distances include:

• 26-mile route
• 15-mile route

The event accommodates both runners and walkers. Competitive runners begin in a mass start and non-competitive runners and walkers have an early start option. Checkpoints are used along the routes; intermediate cut-off times apply and participants must check in within the checkpoints' opening hours to continue. An overall time limit applies for finishing.

Light refreshments are provided at checkpoints and hot food is available at the finish. Entry is managed through the SiEntries system, where competitors must register or log in to enter. Entries open 20 March 2026 and close 26 July 2026. The minimum age to enter is 18 or older. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £32.00 and Non-affiliated £34.00.
