Malham Trail Half Marathon : event overview

The Malham Trail Half Marathon takes place on 5 September 2026 at Malham Show Field, BD23 4DA. It is the third race in the Due North Trail Trilogy and is run under UK Athletics rules with a TRA licence. The route passes Malham Cove and Malham Tarn, includes a climb to Weets Top followed by a long descent, and is partially way marked. A GPX route file is available.

Entry fees are listed as UKA member £35 and non UKA member £37. There is a series discount when entering all three races; entering all three saves £10 and qualifies a runner for the series championship. Minimum age for entry is 17.

Minimum kit is required and enforced. The stated minimum kit includes a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a personal cup or bottle (no cups are provided at drinks stations), and a mobile phone with a location app installed. Drinks stations supply water and juice, and a post race meal is provided (for example pasta, pie and peas or soup). Additional inclusions noted are a bottle of beer, Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies, free car parking, and male and female toilets on site.

Prize giving follows completion of prize categories, with awards for overall places and age categories. Spectators can access nearby village cafes and pubs or bring a picnic. Dogs are not permitted at Due North races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
