Great Longstone Chase

Great Longstone Chase is a fell race held in the Peak District on 4 September 2026. The event uses the Recreation Ground in Great Longstone as venue and is limited to 200 runners with no registration on the day for the main race.

The course begins with a gentle climb onto Longstone Edge, then crosses moorland before returning to the village via a small woodland and fields and tracks. The route is mostly off road, with one notable section on Longstone Edge. Total ascent for the main race is 290 m.

The event holds a Permit with associated UK Athletics insurance through the FRA. Entry fee for the adult fell race is £9 plus fees. Junior races are organised under FRA age categories and have a separate entry arrangement on the day.
