About the race

Peak Raid Race 3 Eastern Moors is a fell running score event on Sunday 15 November 2026 in the Eastern Moors and Burbage Valley area of the Peak District. The race uses a score format with a time limit of 3 hours; competitors receive a waterproof map with control positions and points values and then choose their own route to collect as many points as possible. Points are lost for lateness.

The series comprises four three hour races at different locations: Hayfield, Edale, Eastern Moors South and Alstonefield. Results from a competitor’s best three races count towards the overall league result. Entries include category choices for solos, same sex pairs, mixed pairs and a parent or guardian with an under 18 junior; age category is based on age on 31/12/2026. The minimum age to compete is 14 and pairs are classified by the age of the older runner.

All competitors must carry the FRA mandatory minimum kit: waterproof whole body cover (jacket and trousers with taped seams and attached hood), hat, gloves, map of the route (provided), compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Dogs are not permitted. Entry fees are charged in early, standard and late bands with a £2 reduction for FRA members. Prizes require completion of at least two races and are awarded by category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
