Ring O' Fire runs races on the Isle of Anglesey using the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. The Ring O' Fire 130 starts and finishes at Breakwater Country Park, Holyhead, and is a full clockwise circumnavigation of the island covering 130 miles (209 km). The route has nine checkpoints; runners must check in and out at each checkpoint and meet mandatory cut-off times or face withdrawal.

Terrain is varied and predominantly trail. Participants encounter sandy and pebble beaches, steep cliff-top paths, headlands, rocky coves, sand dunes, farmland, forest sections, and seaside villages. The course also uses some quiet public roads, gates and stiles. Total vertical ascent and descent for the 130 mile route is about 13,000 feet (4,000 metres). The highest point is Holyhead Mountain at 720 feet (220 metres).

The Firelighter 50 starts at Breakwater Country Park, Holyhead, and finishes at Moelfre, covering nearly 47 miles (76 km) with three checkpoints and mandatory cut-offs. Vertical ascent and descent for this section is about 4,500 feet (1,372 metres). An early morning bus is offered from Moelfre to the race start to allow cars to be left at the finish; the service costs £15 and can be booked during entry.
