Brutal @ Chawton

Chawton, United Kingdom • 7 Mar 2026

Event Overview

Brutal @ Chawton takes place on Saturday, 7th March. Registration opens at 08:15.

Course Description

The route combines terrain from Brick Kiln Farm and the steep-sided valley within Chawton Forest. On the farm, the course passes through a section of woods used for 4x4 events, where the ground is muddy and rough with large water-filled craters. In the forest, trails vary from wide rides to more technical, narrow sections. The forest also contains large open-cast mining holes that create descents and climbs.

Distances and Options

  • 5 km: A single lap of the course. Minimum age: 8.
  • 10 km: Two laps of the course. Minimum age: 13.

A 75-minute cut-off applies to complete the first lap for the 10 km option. A canicross option is available for both distances, featuring a separate, earlier rolling start for participants running with a dog.

Participant Information

Entry limits are in place: 125 for each standard 5 km and 10 km distance, and 30 for the 5 km canicross and 15 for the 10 km canicross. Junior entries are for participants under 16 on race day. Entry closes at 23:59 on Thursday, 5th March.
