The Greensand Way Ultra Run takes place on Saturday 2 May 2026, meeting at West Hanger, Staple Lane, Guildford, Surrey. The event distance is 30 miles. Entry cost is £45 per person. The event is run as a group rather than a race. Participants are advised to have run at least 22 miles in training and to be able to sustain an average pace of about 10 minutes per mile on trail for prolonged periods.

Route and format

The route starts and finishes at West Hanger and follows sections of the North Downs Way and the Greensand Way. The course passes Box Hill, goes south to join the Greensand Way, then heads west and includes Leith Hill, Pitch Hill and Holmbury Hill, before returning north toward Shere and back to the start. The guide will manage navigation and offer coaching and advice during the run.

Practical information

A full kit list will be provided to participants. There is a car park at the start/finish location. The start point is a short run or taxi ride from a nearby train station.
