Event description

The Greensand Way Ultra Run is a guided trail ultra run starting and finishing at West Hanger, Staple Lane, Guildford, Surrey. The route follows parts of the North Downs Way past Box Hill, then heads south onto the Greensand Way and west along the trail. The route includes Leith Hill, Pitch Hill and Holmbury Hill, then returns north toward Shere and back to the start. The run is led by an experienced ultra runner, coach and Salomon athlete and is organised as a group run rather than a race.

Logistics and participant information

Distance: 30 miles. Cost: £45 per person. Participants are advised to have run at least 22 miles in training and to be able to sustain an average pace of about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) on trail for prolonged periods. A full kit list is provided before the event. Guildford has rail links and there is a free car park at the start/finish location; the start is a short run or taxi ride from a train station.
