Greensand Way Ultra Run

This guided trail run covers parts of the North Downs Way and the Greensand Way, starting and finishing at West Hanger near Guildford, Surrey. The route is approximately 30 miles and follows trails that pass Box Hill, Leith Hill, Pitch Hill, Holmbury Hill and the village of Shere.

The event is run as a group rather than a race and includes on-route guidance from an experienced ultra runner and coach. Navigation and route management are provided, and a full kit list will be supplied before the run. Participants are advised to have completed at least 22 miles in training and to be comfortable maintaining an average trail pace of about 10 minutes per mile (6:15 min/km) for prolonged periods; faster runners should expect some sections to be run at an easier social pace.

Practical details noted are a fee of £55 per person, a free car park at the start/finish point, and that the location is a short run or taxi ride from a train station.
