Run Silchester 2026

Run Silchester is an annual running event held in the village of Silchester, Reading. The event starts on the village playing field. The route passes historic landmarks including an English Heritage ancient Roman wall and a 12th-century church, and goes through trails in ancient woodland. The finish is at the Silchester Sports Pavilion.

The event offers three trail running distances:

  • Silchester Fun Run - 2.5 miles
  • Silchester 5 - 5 miles
  • Silchester 7 - 7 miles

Managed car parking will be in operation. Additional activities on the playing fields include a village market, food stalls, a bar, a children's fun zone, and music. The event supports a local community food pantry.

A finisher's medal is provided for all participants, along with water and a banana. Trophies are awarded for various age and category winners in each race.
