Run Silchester 2026

Run Silchester 2026 takes place on 2 May 2026 in Silchester, Reading, Berkshire. The event is organised by the Silchester Association on behalf of the Silchester Sports Pavilion Charity. Entries are available online until 30 April and in person on the day. Chip timing will record finish times and results will be published online. The event supports the Tadley Community Food Pantry and encourages donations of food and toiletries at the Sports Pavilion collection point.

Course, distances and facilities

The event starts on the Silchester playing field and finishes at the Silchester Sports Pavilion. The route runs along the English Heritage Roman Wall, past the 12th century St Mary-the-Virgin church, and through ancient natural woodland.

There is a water station at 1.8 miles for all races and an additional station at 4.8 miles for the 7-mile race. Water is also available at the finish. Finishers receive a medal, plus water and a banana. Managed car parking will be in operation. Additional onsite activities include food stalls, a bar, a children’s fun zone, music and the Silchester Village Market. Race photography will be taken at the public event and can be removed on request. Trophy awards are listed for age and gender categories, plus a fastest villager prize. Trail running on 31 January 2026 at Hound House Road in Surrey with 10 km and 15 km routes over hilly mixed terrain. Parking, toilets and refreshments are available; entries close 29 January 2026.

Oxford Town v Gown is an inter-club orienteering event in Oxford organised by OUOC and TVOC, featuring a roughly 6 km course with artificial barriers and team entries as Town, Gown or N A.

A guided 10 km trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, Surrey. Evening sessions include sunset runs or night runs by head torch and focus on group pacing, hilly trails, and scenic views.

The Pilgrim Challenge will take place in Farnham from Saturday 7 February 2026 to Sunday 8 February 2026. You can run 66 miles.
