Both routes run through pine forest and along sandy trails, with sections that reach Llanddwyn Island and coastline. Runners can expect views across the Menai Strait toward Eryri (Snowdonia). The event provides marked courses with marshals and on-course support, including energy stations and support vehicles. An event village offers music, commentary, shopping, food, bag drop and toilets. Tour De Yr Wyddfa is an epic winter loop around Yr Wyddfa, climbing 2327 m on the full 43.5 km route. Solo, pair or two leg relay entries are welcome, but runners must meet mountain experience and kit requirements for safety.

Tackle a scenic but testing 6.8 km fell course around Dolgarrog with 417 m of climb, hosted at Canolfan Porthlwyd. Entry on the day; minimum age 16 makes it perfect for adventurous runners.
