Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 1/3

Clowbridge 5k is a trail race held on a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The event is a 5 km course with approximately 25 m of elevation over the distance and is open to participants aged 11 and over. It forms the first race of a three-race Autumn series taking place on Thursdays on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026.

The course consists of two laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anti-clockwise, with the event base at Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley BB11 5PF. The races are marshalled and prizes are awarded in each race.

Entries for the event are managed through SiEntries; the entry fee is £6.50 and entries open on 21 March 2026 and close on 2 September 2026. Organiser details are provided by RunJMC and the series fundraising monies will be donated to local causes. Participants are asked to park sensibly; available parking includes the lower car park at the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir.

Experience a scenic 5k multi terrain trail race through the paths of the Tame Valley. This two lap course features riverside bridleways and woodland trails for a unique off road running experience near Hyde.

Rodley Rock up n' Run is a pop up summer event on 14 May 2026 with 5 km and 10 km races behind the Rodley Barge Pub. Entry can be paid online or on the day; runners receive a jumble medal and a soft drink.

A village fell race in mid May around Hayfield featuring a course of about 3 miles and 700 ft ascent that includes the summit of Lantern Pike. Entry is on the day with modest fees for seniors and juniors.

Skipton Skedaddle is a trail event from Skipton with distances from 14 to 52.4 miles, visiting Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar. Ultramarathon entrants receive trackers and checkpoints offer food with vegan and gluten free options.
