Gisburn Forest 10km Trail Race

The Gisburn Forest 10km Trail Race is a licensed trail running event organised by Pendle Trail Running Club at the Gisburn Forest Hub near Slaidburn, Lancashire (postcode BB7 4TS). The event is scheduled for 31 July 2027 and is run in accordance with England Athletics rules and the Trail Running Association licence.

The course covers 10 km with approximately 184 m of elevation and follows forest and woodland trails normally used by hikers and bikers. Entrants must be 18 years or older. Male and female category winners will be recognised.

Entry fees are published in GBP with reduced and standard rates for UKA members and non-members. Entries are listed as opening on 1 February 2027 and closing on 16 July 2027. Optional event t-shirts are available to pre-order for £17.

Race entry includes a race memento and goodies, professional race photography, a fully flagged and marshalled course, professional chip timing, on-site refreshments including hot and cold food and drinks, and professional event safety coverage with first aid. Trail runs nearby

A fell race on Farleton Knott with a 2.60 mile / 4.20 km route and 750 feet / 230 meters of climb. The course climbs the front of the fell, crosses the top and returns along the lower path; parking costs £3.

Round Hill Fell Race is an 8.7 mile run across Blubberhouses Moor with about 1,100 ft of ascent, visiting Round Hill and Ellar Carr Pike. Entry is on the day for runners aged 18 and over and full FRA kit is required.

A mid-summer out-and-back fell race from Mytholmroyd to Crow Hill and back, about 5 miles with 305 m ascent, including a woodland descent through Redacre Woods. Part of Todmorden Harriers' Summer Series.

A 5-mile out-and-back fell race over Eshton Moor along the Pennine Way route, with junior and senior categories, modest entry fees and perpetual trophies for club members.
