Eshton Moor is a cross-country race of 5 miles with about 550 ft of ascent that starts from Old Hall Farm near Gargrave, North Yorkshire (BD23 3UT). The course is an out-and-back on the line of the Pennine Way to woods near Calton and runs over undulating fields and moorland.

The route begins with a gentle climb up a long field before joining the Pennine Way. It continues over Eshton Moor, descends to cross a river, and runs around a wood before returning along the same path, including the climb back over Eshton Moor. The setting includes open fields, moorland sections and a riverside/wooded stretch.

Racing categories cover junior age groups and seniors: U9, U12, U14, U17 and Seniors. Entry fees are listed separately for juniors and seniors: Juniors £2, Seniors £5. Perpetual trophies are presented to Wharfedale Harriers members at this event.

Parking and access use local farm tracks and roadside parking near the start. Approaching Gargrave from Skipton, follow the directions past the Old Swan public house, over the canal bridge and along Mark House Lane; parking is available on the road or by turning into the farm track and using the field to the left where the race starts.
