Eshton Moor (formerly Gargrave Cross Country)

Eshton Moor is a club race held on Thursday 6 August 2026 around Gargrave in North Yorkshire. The advertised senior course is 5 Mile with approximately 550 ft of ascent. The route is an out and back along the line of the Pennine Way to woods near Calton and runs across undulating fields.

The course begins with a long gentle climb up a field before joining the Pennine Way. It continues over Eshton Moor, descends and crosses the river, then runs around the wood before returning along the same line and climbing back over Eshton Moor. The event includes multiple race categories for juniors and seniors, with junior categories listed as U9, U12, U14 and U17. Entry fees are stated as £2 for juniors and £5 for seniors. There are a number of perpetual trophies presented at this race to members of Wharfedale Harriers.

The event base is Old Hall Farm, Gargrave BD23 3UT. Approaching Gargrave from Skipton, competitors are directed past the Old Swan pub and along Mark House Lane; parking is available on the road or in a nearby field accessed via a farm track close to the start. Stanhill Fell Race in Oswaldtwistle covers 4.5 mile from the Britannia Tap & Grill. It is Race 5 of the Accrington Fell & Trail Series and entry on the day costs £6.

A summer evening five mile race from Halton Mill in Lancaster following the river Millennium path, meadows and a technical single track. Entries open in April with fees that differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, minimum age 16.

A traditional old English sports meeting on 28 May 2026 for all ages, with prize money and gate entries. Published fees of £6 for adults and £4 for children appear alongside a note that entries are free.

Scenic 5K, 10K and half marathon options in Bingley organised by Its Grim Up North Running, with finishers receiving a jumble medal plus hot food and a drink. Online places have sold out but places on the day are available.
