Eshton Moor (formerly Gargrave Cross Country)

Eshton Moor is a five mile cross-country race held on 6 August 2026 at Old Hall Farm, Gargrave, North Yorkshire (BD23 3UT). The course covers approximately 5 Mile with about 550 ft of ascent and follows an out and back route along the track of the Pennine Way to woods near Calton.

The route begins with a long gentle climb up a field before joining the Pennine Way. It continues over Eshton Moor, descends and crosses the river, then runs around a wood before returning the same way and climbing back over Eshton Moor. The surface is over undulating fields and paths.

Age categories include under 9, under 12, under 14, under 17 and seniors. Entry fees are listed as £2 for juniors and £5 for seniors. A number of perpetual trophies are presented at this race to members of Wharfedale Harriers.

The event uses Old Hall Farm as the start area. Approaches from Skipton are described via the Old Swan Pub and Mark House Lane; parking is available on the road or by turning into a farm track and using the field on the left where the race starts. A community multi-terrain 10 km trail run in Cookridge, Leeds on Sunday 17 May 2026. The single lap route passes Paul’s Pond and Golden Acre Park, includes a grass hill and woodland sections, and all participants receive a CC10K t-shirt.

Join the Calderdale Way Relay on Sun 17 May 2026 for a scenic but savage 80.5 km team challenge across the South West Pennines with 3660 m of climb. Teams of 12, pre entry only, runners run in pairs and strict kit rules apply.

A 3.5 mile fell race near Clitheroe with 1247 ft of ascent, on the partially marked Mearley Clough route. Entry on the day includes a pasta supper and prize vouchers, and under 18s need parental consent.

A single-loop 10.5 km trail at Rudding Park, Harrogate, over mixed and hilly terrain with technical sections and a final climb. The race supports Mind in Harrogate and includes a post-race goody bag, food and on-site entertainment.
