Scurry Around Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival offers scenic mixed terrain runs from a 1.6 km fun run to a Half Marathon, all starting by the Victorian manor house. Expect woodland trails, lively atmosphere and a finisher memento.

February 2026

The Duergar Nightcrawler is a 10 mile night trail through the wild Simonside Hills near Rothbury, offering a thrilling under the stars run. Torches are required and every entrant enjoys a warm cup of mulled wine to celebrate.

Tackle the rugged Ardgartan Trail Race around Arrochar, a roughly 21 mile off road loop with about 3,500 ft of climbing and spectacular loch and hill scenery. Expect technical trails, big climbs and winter weather that demands good kit.

Take on the six hour Trailspire Ultra at Callander Park, a fully waymarked loop of rolling trails and woodland with views of historic Callander House. Run solo or with a two person relay team and see how many laps you can complete.

March 2026

Culzean Castle Trail Runs return on Sunday 1 March 2026 with 5 km, 10 km and half marathon options across scenic coastal woodlands. Canicross friendly, all finishers get a medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a snack.

Run the scenic John Muir Way 50 km trail or share the distance in a 2 x 25 km relay on 7 March 2026, starting at Port Seton and finishing at Foxlake in Dunbar. Transport from finish to start and coastal views included.

Take on the Kingdom of Northumbria Coastal Ultra, a scenic 54 km or 27 km coastal route from Bamburgh to Druridge Bay. Enjoy sea views and historic castles en route and finish with a medal and long sleeve t shirt.
