Donkey Brae Races 2026

The Donkey Brae Races take place on 02 August 2026 at Silver Sands Park, Hawkcraig Road, Aberdour, Fife KY3 0XB. The event is part of the Aberdour Festival and includes multiple races, a village market and on-site food and drink vendors.

Racing options include chipped bib timing for the main races and same day online results publication. There are prizes for overall and category winners and medals for all finishers. Facilities at Silver Sands Park include toilets, a bag drop, hydration stations on course and first aid cover. Parking is limited and parking charges apply at the park; Aberdour has nearby train connections and a free but busy car park at the train station.

Restrictions note that the 7 mile race is open to runners aged over 16 and the 2 mile race to those over 9. The fun run is open to all but under 9s must be supervised. No dogs are allowed and the course is not suitable for wheelchair users. Registration numbers must be collected on the day and entries close on 24 July 2026 or earlier if the event limit is reached. Transfers between runners are permitted before the closing date.

Trail runs at Callendar House in Falkirk offer three distances, live chip timing and Canicross access. Finishers receive a medal, event merchandise and a snack and drink.
