Run the Raid - Marathon and Half

Run the Raid is a road and multi‑terrain running event on 2 August 2026 that offers two race options and finishes at Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island. The courses use coastal paths, quiet lanes, and sea views between Holy Island and Spittal.

The marathon starts and finishes on Holy Island and includes an outward and return route that reaches Spittal. The marathon is limited to 100 places and is open to runners aged 18 years or older. The half marathon begins in Spittal and finishes on Holy Island, is limited to 500 places, and is open to runners aged 17 years or older.

Entry fees are listed as £50 for marathon entries and £30 for half marathon entries. Entries open 12 May 2026 and close 27 July 2026. Bib pack collection is available on the day at the start point in Spittal and there is an optional Saturday collection from a pop up gazebo in the main car park on Holy Island.
