K12 Ultra Marathon

The K12 Ultra Marathon takes place in the grounds of Dean Castle Country Park in Kilmarnock. The event is centered on a circular route measuring approximately 4 km. Participants navigate a course consists of mixed terrain, primarily following pathed routes through the park grounds, which include various hill sections.

Participants can choose between individual or relay formats. In the individual category, participants aim to complete the furthest distance possible within a set 12-hour period. The relay category allows teams of up to four people to participate. Relay teams can manage their time and lap distribution according to their own preference, with the winner being the team that completes the longest distance within the time limit.

The event site includes a dedicated athletes village where participants can set up tented support areas. Facilities on site include toilets, showers, and a cafe. Athletes also have access to boiling water. The event provides chip timing, first aid protection, and marshals stationed throughout the course. Trail runs nearby

A guided 8 km night trail run from Milngavie Train Station exploring the Clyde Coastal path and West Highland Way. Social pace with a qualified guide, mandatory trail shoes and headtorch, and no dogs or under 18s.

A hill race on 15 April 2026 covering 5.7 km with 380 m of ascent across Fairlie Glen and the summit plateau. Entries are limited to 150, and prizegiving with a hot drink and cake is held at Fairlie Parish Church.

A guided 10 km night trail run from Milngavie Train Station exploring the Clyde Coastal Path and West Highland Way. Social groups led by a qualified guide, trail shoes and a head torch required; no dogs or under 18s.

Experience a technical trail run through beautiful deciduous woodlands featuring two course distances. Navigate mud, roots, and elevation changes on a fully waymarked route starting near Linn Park Golf Club.
