Templeton Trail Race

Templeton Trail Race is a one-lap trail event around Templeton Woods held on 2 August 2026. The route is approximately 5.5 miles and runs mostly on well-defined park paths with some trails and short hills. The course will be marked with flags and marshals at junctions and the finish is located near the start.

Entry is open to anyone aged 18 years and over. Race numbers are collected on the day. Pre-entered participants can pick up numbers at registration at the Clatto Centre, Clatto Reservoir. If there are fewer than 200 pre-entries, a limited number of on-the-day entries will be available until 10.15am.

Facilities at the Clatto Centre are minimal. There are no showers and only basic changing space. A secure area for leaving kit will be provided but the organisers do not accept responsibility for loss or damage. Limited car parking is available at the Clatto Centre and on the approach road; alternative parking is possible at the Templeton Woods Nature Hut or at Camperdown Park with a short jog to the start.

First aid cover will be provided. Cold drinks and a picnic area with refreshments will be available. Preliminary results will be published on Webscorer and final results will appear on the Dundee Roadrunners website and the Scottish Athletics website within a week. Prizes will be awarded in overall and age categories and for teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
