Newcastleton 10km Trail Race

The inaugural Newcastleton 10km Trail Race takes place on 15 August 2026 at Rock UK, Whithough Park, Newcastleton. Organised by Run And Ride with event delivery by Mayer Active, the race uses the local trail network around the Rock UK Adventure Centre.

The course is a fully off-road 10 km loop over trail and rolling terrain. The route includes wide forest tracks, flowing singletrack and a number of technical downhill sections. The course will be fully marked, signed, and marshalled, with distance markers and a water station approximately at the halfway point. Timing is chip based and a bespoke finisher medal is provided for all finishers.

Entry categories include Adult/Jnr (14–39) and Vet (40+). Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and to 1st Vet (40+) male and female. Parking is available at the event car park and a small parking fee applies. Toilets are provided and camping is available onsite with options for vans, campers, tents or lodge bookings through Rock UK.

Race numbers are not posted in advance; participants sign on at Rock UK on the day to receive their number. Transfer and refund options are available: a transfer credit may be issued for a fee of £1.00 until 08/08/2026, and refunds are permitted minus £5.00 until 01/08/2026.

Weather in August can vary; organisers recommend trail shoes with good grip, lightweight technical clothing and a light waterproof for unsettled conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
