Trail Running calendar near Braemar 2026-2027

A 43 km, four-stage hill relay around Glen Lednock starting and finishing in Comrie village. Teams of five include a pair running the second leg; course sections range from trail-style to rough mountain terrain.

A new 5K loop at Dunnikier Park, Kirkcaldy on 29 August 2026 as part of the Running Festival, with mixed surfaces, a one hour time limit, and a minimum age of 12.

Aberfoyle Trail Run 2026 includes a scenic 10k on mixed trails and a flat 1k for primary school children, both fully marked and electronically timed. Proceeds support Aberfoyle Primary School and local community groups.

Two circular challenge walks from Rafford Village Hall, offering 30 mile and 50 mile routes that mix coastal paths, woodland and long distance trails, with time limits, route maps and GPX files and a 100 place entry limit.

September 2026

A summit-and-return mountain race from New Town Park, Fort William to the top of Ben Nevis and back on 5 September 2026, limited to 600 pre-selected, club-affiliated entrants who meet specific hill-racing qualifications.

A five hour multi-lap endurance run at Carron Valley around a medieval-style village, with solo and relay team categories, torchlit evening laps, encouraged fancy dress and themed awards for top lap counts and best costumes.

Beast Race is a 10 km obstacle course in Banchory, Scotland on 12 September 2026, featuring hill climbs, water obstacles, island crossings and heavy mud. Regular entry is sold out and entry is currently by charity or corporate code only.

An 11 km hill race with 430 m of climb near Monymusk. Entry is by pre entry only via Webscorer, and entry fees are listed as 2024 prices with registration details to be confirmed.

A 30K run in North Berwick with solo and three-person relay options plus a 10K walk, chip timing and full marshals; proceeds support Scottish Veterans Residences.

A running festival at Glamis Castle offering 1 mile, 5k and 10k routes to run or walk in support of Maggie's Dundee. Registration is £30 and entrants receive a t shirt and finishers medal.

Ben Nevis Skyline is a **30 km** mountain and trail race at Nevis Range near Fort William, held within the Salomon Skyline Scotland weekend on 18 to 20 September 2026. It was a 2025 Golden Trail World Series qualifier.
