Entry and race information

Entry is online only and online entries close on 24 October 2026 or when the race limit is reached. The listed entry fee until 24 October is £26; a service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to sign-ups. Once entries have been processed there are no refunds and no deferment system; a substitution may be requested within the entry system at no extra cost if done before 24 October 2026. Headphones are not permitted on the course, although bone conduction headphones are allowed. Registration to collect race numbers and timing chips is in person at The Sports Hub, The Community School of Auchterarder; registration opens at 9:00 and closes at 10:30. ID checks will be carried out. Unsecured baggage storage will be available and the organisers do not accept responsibility for stored items.

Route, prizes and facilities

The route starts in Auchterarder and goes into the foothills of the Ochil Hills, with a mix of surfaces including forest trails, steady uphills, downhills and a couple of stream crossings. The organisers state there is no time cut-off. All runners receive a snood and a bespoke Chilli Trail Race 2026 medal. Prizes are listed for top finishers by sex, age categories (Senior, V40, V50, V60, V70+), first local finishers and for best costumes. On-street car parking is available around the start area. Take on the Frostbite Trail Race at scenic Lochore Meadows: two laps of 4 to 4.5 miles over trails and woods where mud adds fun, so trail shoes are recommended. Finishers receive a memento and places are limited.
