Tom Robb Memorial Trail Race - Carron Valley Forestry

The event is scheduled for 22 August 2026 and is a 7 mile trail race held within Carron Valley Forestry in Stirlingshire. The route is an undulating loop that climbs toward Meikle Bin, then returns down toward the Carron Reservoir and finishes close to the main car park.

Trails are mainly hard packed landrover-type tracks, with loose larger stones on the first hill section. The course begins and ends near the forestry car park. Photographers will be positioned on the course and participants agree to images being posted on race social media and the race website.

Entry is limited to 200 runners and a waiting list operates once places are full. Standard entry is £18 with a discounted rate of £15 for qualifying members as indicated by the organiser. Withdrawals before the race receive a full refund; once the race is full no refunds are offered and the full fee is donated to the event charities. Results are chip timed and are published on the Tom Robb Memorial Trail Race website.

Car parking is available within Carron Valley Forestry; charges of up to £4 may apply and one nearby car park is free. Public toilets are available near the car park and a portaloo will be placed beside the registration tent. Funds raised are shared between Alzheimer Scotland and Ochils Mountain Rescue Team.
