Kirkcaldy Parks 5K 2026

The Kirkcaldy Parks 5K is part of the Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival on 29 August 2026. Race headquarters, and the start and finish, are within Dunnikier Park, Kirkcaldy. The event is described as a new addition to the 2026 festival, which also includes a half marathon and trail events across the weekend.

The 5K uses a single loop that leaves the park, runs through gently undulating woodland, follows tracks around the outside of the golf course, and returns to finish in the park. The surface is mixed: grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge. The race will be held under UK Athletics rules and has a Scottish Athletics permit. Minimum age on the day is 12.

Organisers say they are a non-profit organisation and aim for financial inclusivity; sponsor contributions are used to help keep entry costs lower. Entry opens on 25 April at 19:00. Transfers to another person are allowed up to the closing date; refunds and deferrals are not available. There is a one hour time limit for the race. Parking is discouraged in Council, Golf Club and Oswald House car parks; additional parking is available at the nearby NHS Overflow Car Park at Whytemans Brae. Public transport links are nearby. Maggie's Fife is the festival charity partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
