Kirkcaldy Parks 5K 2026

The Kirkcaldy Parks 5K is a new event within the Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival, held at Dunnikier Park, Kirkcaldy. The race follows a 5 km loop that starts and finishes inside the park, then passes through gently undulating woodland, tracks around the outside of the golf course and returns to the park. The route surface is a mix of grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge, so appropriate footwear should be considered.

The event is organised as a Scottish Athletics permit event and will be run under UK Athletics rules. The minimum age on the day is 12. A one hour time limit applies to the race (approximately 19 minutes per mile); runners who expect to take longer may still complete the course and will receive a medal but an official time cannot be guaranteed after the time limit.

Entry opens on Saturday 25 April at 7pm. Until 1 August there are two price bands shown: a discounted fee of £10 and a standard fee of £12; the discounted rate applies to members of SA EA WA. Total places for the race are listed as 100 and the event status is open.

Transfers of entries to another person are permitted up to the closing date and must be managed by the original entrant and the transferee. Refunds and deferrals are not available. The festival supports the charity Maggie's Fife, which the organisers mention as a partner for fundraising during the festival year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
