Kirkcaldy Parks Trail 2026

The Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival includes a trail race on 29 August 2026 held at Dunnikier Park, Kirkcaldy. The route comprises two laps of approximately 5 km each, starting and finishing within the grounds of Dunnikier Park and passing through surrounding woodland and tracks around the golf course.

The surface is mixed and includes grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge, so appropriate footwear should be chosen. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and has a Scottish Athletics permit. The minimum age on race day is 16. A two hour time limit is in place; runners expected to take longer may still receive a t-shirt and medal but an official time cannot be guaranteed after that point.

The festival is organised as a non profit event and supports the charity Maggie's Fife. Total places are 250. Entry opens on Tuesday 31 March at 7pm. Transfers of entries between runners are permitted up to the closing date subject to organiser procedures and t-shirt option changes may be limited after 21 July. Refunds and deferrals are not available.

Parking guidance notes that Council, Golf Club and Oswald House car parks should be left free for other park users and that nearby overflow parking at Whytemans Brae will be available. Public transport links run near the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
