Bennachie Ultra Marathon
Chapel of Garioch, United Kingdom • 11 Oct 2025
The Bennachie Ultra Marathon circles Bennachie, Aberdeenshire, in Scotland’s North East. The 50-kilometre route (about 31 miles) is mainly on good runnable trails with a short 3-mile road section, climbing six Bennachie peaks such as Mither Tap, Oxen Craig and Millstone Hill for more than 5,000 feet of elevation. Runners start and finish at the Bennachie Visitors Centre. It’s a cupless event with water at designated stations, and a strict kit check; minimum Scottish Hill Runners kit is required, and participants must be 18 or older. A four-hour cut-off around 18 miles emphasizes safety, supported by SHR rules and local organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
