Tom’s Cairn 10K & 5K Trail Races take place in Finzean, Deeside, starting and finishing at Birse and Feughside Parish Church. The flagship 10.1 km race features a challenging ascent of 239 meters to the summit of Tom’s Cairn, running through woodland trails and estate tracks within the scenic Finzean Estate. The 5 km race offers a gentler, undulating course through Finzean Woods and estate paths. A fun children’s race is also held nearby. The event, organized by the Finzean and Ballogie Parent Council, combines competitive trail running with a friendly atmosphere, including homebakes, live music, and a piper, while raising funds for local schools.
