Event information

The Hermitage 10km, 5km and 1.2km trail runs take place on 23 November 2025 at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill. The event includes off-road trail routes that are clearly marked and marshaled. The 5km and 10km races use a one-lap course that starts at the Hermitage of Braid house and follows routes up and over Blackford Hill.

Additional details

All proceeds from the fun run will be donated to Friends of the Hermitage and Braid and Morningside Primary School. Children who enter the fun run receive an elf hat to take away, and festive clothing is encouraged. A post-race drink and snack are provided, and participants receive a race memento.
