The event takes place on 22 Nov 2026 at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill. It features multiple off road runs on clearly marked and marshaled routes.
Distances offered:
- 10 km trail run, one lap starting at the Hermitage of Braid house
- 5 km trail run, one lap following the same start point
- 1.2 km festive fun run for children
The 5 km and 10 km trails follow a one-lap course that starts at the Hermitage of Braid house and goes up and over Blackford Hill. The routes are marshaled and signed.
Proceeds from the fun run will be donated to Friends of the Hermitage and Braid and to Morningside Primary School. Children entering the 1.2 km fun run will receive an elf hat to wear and take away, and festive wear is encouraged.
