Hermitage Trail Runs 2026
The Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill will host trail runs on 22 Nov 2026. The event includes a 10 km and a 5 km off-road trail race plus a 1.2 km festive fun run.

The runs are clearly marked and marshaled off-road routes. The 5 km and 10 km races follow a single lap course that starts at the Hermitage of Braid house and proceeds up and over Blackford Hill.
Children who enter the fun run will receive an elf hat to wear and take away, and festive wear is encouraged. All proceeds from the fun run will be donated to Friends of the Hermitage and Braid and to Morningside Primary School.
Participants will be offered a post race drink and snack, and each entrant receives a race memento. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
