Run of the Mill

Run of the Mill is a hill race based in Alva Glen in the Ochils. The route covers 14.6 km with approximately 966 m of climb and finishes back in Alva Glen.

The course follows the footpath through Ochils Woodland Park to Tillicoultry, then climbs on the east side of the glen to visit summit checkpoints on Andrew Gannel Hill, Ben Cleuch, Ben Ever and The Nebit. Runners are expected to carry full waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, compass, whistle and a suitable map; one map is supplied but a more detailed map is preferable. Refreshments are available at the finish and participants are asked to bring a mug if they want tea or coffee.

Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to first place in each male and female veteran category V40, V50, V60 and V70. Entry fee is £6 with limited entry on the day for £8. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
