The Dava Way 50k is a 50 km trail race scheduled for 7th November 2026. The race has an 8 hour cutoff, an entry limit of 300 runners and an entry fee of £65. Route and course details
The route starts in Grantown-on-Spey and finishes in Forres, following the Dava Way and parts of the old Highland Railway line. The Dava Way itself stretches about 38 kilometres from the Cairngorms National Park; the full event totals 50 km by extending into Forres. The trail is mostly traffic-free and runnable, with a mix of woodland, moorland and farm track. The course passes Anagach Woods, the River Spey at Grantown, the Dava summit at 321 m / 1052 ft, and then descends toward sea level through pastoral landscapes around Forres. Notable features on the route include the Divie viaduct, Huntly's Cove, the Breathing Place at Dunphail, the Halfway Hut with solar panels, and two carved wood sculptures near the summit.
