Knockfarrel Hill Race (Strathpeffer Community Centre)

The event is scheduled for Saturday 1 November 2025 at Strathpeffer Community Centre. Online entry is available and on-day registration is offered at the community centre. The minimum age to enter is 18. The entry fee is £10. Race insurance is provided by Scottish Hill Runners. Car parking is available at the community centre; there is no parking at the start.

Course and race details

The course distance is 8km with a climb of approximately 280–350m. The start is at Blackmuir Woods, about 1 km from the community centre, and competitors should allow time to walk to the start after registering. The route will be marked and marshals will be positioned at key junctions. The surface is a mixture of landrover track and footpath, with some very steep and muddy sections and exposed tree roots. No muddy shoes are allowed in the hall. Free refreshments will be available at the finish. Prizes are planned for open and female categories and for age cohorts; competitors may enter as non-binary and will be placed in the relevant open age category.
