Knockfarrel Hill Race

The Knockfarrel event is scheduled for 1 November 2025 with registration at Strathpeffer Community Centre. The race start is at Blackmuir Woods, about 1 km from the community centre. Car parking is available at the community centre; there is no parking at the start. Registration is available on the day. Entrants must be aged 18 or older.

The route is marked and marshals will be at key junctions. The course is a mixture of landrover track and footpath; some sections are very steep, muddy and have tree roots. Distance is 8 km with around 350 m of climb. Race insurance cover is provided by Scottish Hill Runners. Muddy shoes are not allowed in the hall. Free refreshments will be available at the finish. By Way of The Glen is a multiday 170 miles foot race from Milngavie to Inverness along the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way, with about 24,000 ft of ascent. Limited to 20 experienced entrants, it is an epic Scottish ultra challenge.

Run 42 miles from Dornoch to Dunbeath on 5 June 2027 in the MTC SELKIE, part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge. Limited to 40 starters and monitored with live tracking, this scenic but testing route awards finishers a SELKIE medal.
