Glen Ogle 33 is a trail ultramarathon held on 1 November 2025 in Perthshire. The race covers approximately 33 miles with about 3,000 ft of elevation. The route runs between Killin and Strathyre, follows sections of National Cycle Route 7 and the Rob Roy Way, and passes features such as the Falls of Dochert, Glen Ogle Viaduct and Balquidder.
Route, checkpoints and logistics
The course goes from Killin to Strathyre and back to Killin, with checkpoints and first aid/water stations around miles 5, 10, 16 (halfway, with drop-bag facility), 25 and 29, and a finish at about 33 miles. Grid references are provided for several stations. There are three road crossings (two at the top of Glen Ogle and one at Strathyre) controlled by marshals; runners must follow marshal instructions and remove earphones when approaching crossings and on designated road sections.
Rules, kit and cut-offs
Entry has no formal qualification requirement, but runners must be confident in their ability to complete the distance and elevation within the cut-offs. Mandatory kit must be carried and will be confirmed in the race briefing; required items listed include a full-size foil blanket, a working mobile phone with race control number, trail food, means to carry water and a small first-aid kit.
