The Glen Ogle 33 is a roughly 33 mile ultramarathon in Perthshire on 1 November 2025. The route has about 3,000 ft of ascent. Registration takes place at McLaren Hall, Main Street, Killin, with race information and mandatory kit confirmed in the pre-race briefing. Entry fees were listed at £61 (discounted) and £63 (standard). The event follows parts of National Cycle Route 7 and the Rob Roy Way and includes the Glen Ogle viaduct and the Falls of Dochert.

Route, checkpoints and rules

The out-and-back route runs from Killin to Strathyre. Checkpoints and water stations are located at approximately 5, 10, 16 (halfway at Strathyre Picnic Area with drop bags allowed), 25 and 29 miles, with the finish near Killin at about 33 miles. There are three road crossings (two at the top of Glen Ogle and one at Strathyre) controlled by marshals; runners must follow marshal instructions and remove earphones when approaching crossings and on specified road sections. Runners must pass the final checkpoint at the top of Glen Ogle by 4pm.

Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and includes a full-size foil blanket, a working mobile phone with race control number, trail food, means to carry water, and a small first aid kit. Run a scenic 21 mile loop around Ardgartan Peninsula with about 3,500 ft of climbing, mostly off road through forests and coastal hilltops. Expect testing winter weather and a steep return to the Rest And Be Thankful.
