The William Wallace Running Festival takes place on 10 October 2026 at Stirling Sports Village, Stirling. The start and finish area for all events is at Stirling County Cricket Ground within the sports village. The festival includes multiple race options on mixed terrain around historic Stirling, with routes that pass local landmarks such as the Wallace Monument, Battle of Bannockburn, Stirling Castle, Cambuskenneth Abbey and the River Forth.

Routes and race services

The 70 km and 50 km are circular loops that visit Campsie Fells, the Ochil Hills, Bridge of Allan, Cockburn Reservoir, Jerah Forest and the protected village of Blairlogie. The ultra events provide 3 or 6 relay stage changeovers and five aid stations. The organiser states there will be cut-off times at checkpoints and an overall cut-off of 14 hours for the longer events. Finishers receive a medal and race memento; the ultras also include a race t-shirt, GPS live tracking, chip timing is used for the 10 km, and there is finish-line catering.

Entry and requirements

Entry categories include solo and team relay options. Runners in the 50 km and 70 km must be 18 or over and carry mandatory kit for October conditions. The 10 km has a minimum age of 15. The 1 mile fun run has no age limit; young children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration takes place at Stirling Cricket Club during the event weekend.
