Falkland Hill Race

Falkland, United Kingdom • 25 Jul 2026

The Falkland Hill Race takes place on 25 July 2026 as part of the Falkland Gala day. The event starts and finishes at the main gala arena in Tyndal Bruce Park, located off the A912 a few hundred metres north of Falkland town centre, postcode KY15 7BY. The event field provides public toilets.

The route is unchanged from recent years and is just under 6 miles in length. The course uses hard paths, grass fields, land-rover tracks and open hillside and includes the summit of Falkland Hill. Overall ascent is over 400 m and there are some very steep uphill and downhill sections. The route is well marshalled and route finding is not difficult, but participants should take care in wet conditions.

Entrants must carry appropriate kit as specified by the organisers, including windproof and waterproof full body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, and food. Full body cover is required in poor weather. The organiser does not provide water or drinks so competitors must bring their own hydration and nutrition.

Numbers are collected on the day from the Falkland Trail Runners Gazebo in the event field; race numbers must be worn on the front and have medical details and emergency contacts filled in on the back. There are no changing facilities and no baggage storage. Prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to winners in the Over 40, Over 50, Over 60 and Over 70 categories. Full results will be posted online the following day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
