A one-lap hill race in Perth on 21 May 2026 covering approx. 7 km with 243 m of climb. Registration is at Kinnoull Church Hall; competitors must be 16 or older and carry basic safety kit.

A community fun run in Kintore on a 5 km route starting and finishing at Kintore School playing fields. No official timing or prizes, a medal is given to every entrant and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Kirkhill 8 is a trail loop event at Kirkhill Forest where runners repeat a 4.3 mile lap over eight hours to target any total distance. The event required pre entry, a minimum kit list and a minimum age of 18.

Community trail run in Tomatin with 5k and 10k routes on rural, undulating roads and paths, two to three water stations, medals for finishers and trophies for fastest categories; minimum age 4 with under 10s accompanied by an adult.

MacTuffX Aberdeen at Sports Village on 25 May 2026 pairs ten Xercises with ten runs in Classic and Double distance formats. Solo, Doubles and Relay entries are offered and all entrants must be 18 or older.

Blair Castle Trail Weekender is a three day trail event in Blair Atholl from 29 to 31 May 2026. Official timing is provided and race day results will be published.

A point to point 96 mile ultra along the West Highland Way from Fort William to Milngavie with nine support locations and race trackers. An optional Ben Nevis extension raises the distance to 107 miles and adds significant mountain ascent.

Chariots of Fire Beach Race is a 5 km out and back on West Sands, St Andrews, with a 1 mile children's fun run. The event uses chip timing, offers post race refreshments and raises funds for RNLI and local charities.

June 2026

A 31 miles ultra around Loch Lyon and into Glen Lochay with about 3,500 ft of ascent. The mostly off road route includes several river crossings, multiple water checkpoints and mandatory kit requirements.

A Scottish Athletics affiliated *10 km* trail race in Killearn on 6 June 2026, run over mixed surfaces with about 310 ft of elevation. Entries include a technical t-shirt or vest and official bib transfers are allowed until 31 March 2026.

A social run from Archibald Simpsons to BrewDog DogTap in Ellon, roughly 21 miles with a 15 mile option from Dyce. The route has two drink stations serving beer and prosecco and finishes with a medal and goody bag.

A mountain hill race in the Western Mamores covering about 13 km and 1300 m of ascent over two Munro summits. The unmarked, clockwise route starts and finishes near Lower Falls and requires mandatory mountain safety kit.

A 15.5 mile off road loop around Loch Lyon in the Perthshire hills with about 1,500 ft of ascent, multiple river crossings and a mid race water station. Camping is available at the dam the night before.

Obstacle races at Hopetoun Estate near Edinburgh on June 7, 2026 include Sprint 5 km, Super 10 km and Beast 21 km, plus a kids race. Participants can attempt a Trifecta in one day while Tough Mudder Scotland runs the same weekend.

Approximately 10k trail run around Palacerigg Country Park with single-track and forest paths, raising funds for Freedom City Foundation. Pre-entry is preferred and participants must be 16 or older.

A beach 5 km race at Balmedie on 18 June 2026 organised by the Cosmics, featuring 30 m of climb and entries via Webscorer; parking is at Balmedie Beach car park.

An off road 60 km ultra based at Mar Lodge in the Cairngorms National Park with 1006 m ascent, limited aid stations and a 48 km short course option via CP5 at Linn of Dee.

A 10.4 km hill race with 310 m of climb around East Linton on 13 June 2026, featuring a river wade and a steep rocky ascent with rope. Organised by Carnethy Hill Running Club, entries open online and on the day, fee £7.50.

Trail races at Dechmont Law Park on 14 June 2026 include a junior 2.5 km, a 6.5 km and a 10 km race that also forms the East District Trail Championships. Woodland loops, chip timing and medals for every finisher.

A 5 km Pretty Muddy obstacle event at Camperdown Park in Dundee featuring mixed grass, road and woodland terrain with a few inclines. Organised by Cancer Research UK, participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising targe..
