Trail Running calendar near Skellingthorpe 2026-2027

Hebden Sports is a classic BOFRA fell race on August Bank Holiday Monday. Juniors and seniors tackle a steep, technical course starting from the show field. The event includes several age group races and takes place in the Yorkshire Dales.

A 10 km fell race around Eyam featuring climbs to Sir William Hill, moorland sections and wooded descents. A separate 3 km junior race for ages 11 to 16 runs on the day with on-the-day entry and marshalled route.

An evening fell race on 3 September 2026 covering 8 km with 360 m ascent across Brown Wardle, Middle Hill and Hades Hill. Mandatory FRA kit applies and runners must reach the top of Brown Wardle within 24 minutes.

A trail 5k around Clowbridge Reservoir on a two lap anti-clockwise route off the Pennine Bridleway. Open to ages 11 and over, it is the first race in a three-week autumn series with prizes and local fundraising.

The Bullock Smithy Hike is a 56-mile circular ultra-hike or run organized by a local Scout group. Held over a weekend in September, it starts and finishes in Hazel Grove.

A 7.1 km fell race on the Longshaw estate in September 2026, using the estate’s new route and 237 m of climb. Entry includes admission to Britain’s oldest sheepdog trials plus food and grandstand seating.

The Cheshire 100 Ultra Run follows the Cheshire Canal Ring from Northwich and is organised by New Era Community Boxing. Entry is open to those over 20, with route guidance, checkpoints, support options and a 36 hour time limit.

Test your endurance at the Exterminator, a 27 km fell race with over 1000 meters of climbing. Join the final event of the Totley AC Race Series starting from the pavilion in Sheffield.

A charity trail event in Great Ponton near Grantham on 6 September 2026, offering four route options across footpaths, bridleways, tracks and quiet country roads toward the Vale of Belvoir, with checkpoints, finish food and field parking.

Scenic trail runs in East Yorkshire offering 4 mile and 8 mile routes from Field House Farm in Tibthorpe. The chipped event includes medals, prizes, dog awards and on site facilities for runners and Canicrossers.

A trail 5k at Clowbridge Reservoir on a route off the Pennine Bridleway, part of a three-race autumn series on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026. The two-lap course starts at Rossendale Valley Sailing Club and has about 25 m elevation.

A fully marked 100 Miles ultramarathon from South Wheatley into Sherwood Forest and back along the Chesterfield Canal. The race offers well stocked aid stations, drop bags, one pacer from about 50 miles and a 30 hour cut off.

A 100 km circuit around Leeds along the Leeds Country Way footpaths, mainly rural and about 80% trail. The route is waymarked, supplied as a GPX, and includes checkpoints with food, water and a finishers medal.
