Loop Til You Drop Backyard Ultra

Loop Til You Drop Backyard Ultra takes place at Turvey House, High St, Turvey, Bedford (MK43 8EL) on 10 October 2026. The event is organised by Polka Dot Events and is sponsored by The Northampton Grocer. It follows a first edition held in October 2025.

The race uses the backyard ultra format: runners complete a 4.167-mile (6.7 km) loop every hour. Participants must start each loop precisely on the hour; failure to start on time results in elimination.

There are multiple entry options. Solo entrants run successive loops until they are the last runner remaining. The paired option allows two runners to share a single entry by alternating loops; only one member of the pair may be on the course at any time. If one member of a pair cannot continue, both are recorded as DNF. An 8 hour Max option uses the same route and format but is capped at 8 hours and runs through the day only.

The event is chip timed and provides a well stocked aid station, first aid provision, porta-loos and prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
