Bedford Pretty Muddy 5k

The Bedford Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle event held at Priory Park, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK41 9DJ. The course covers a mixture of grass and tarmac paths within Priory Country Park. Start and finish are on the same grass field to the right of Cloverdale Café, next to the lake.

Participants climb, crawl and slide around the Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at their own pace. Event start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course. To take part, individuals must be 13 years old or older; a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme exists for younger children.

The event lists a minimum fundraising target of £50. Entry fees are shown for adults and children. People who take part receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion.

Travel options include two event car parks: Bedford Athletics Stadium, about a 12 minute walk and requiring prebooking and a £4 fee, and Longholme Way Field, about a 20 minute walk and free. The main Priory Country Park Car Park offers drop off and designated Blue Badge and volunteer parking. There are no electric vehicle charging points on site. A cycle rack is located outside Cloverdale Café. The event site provides refreshments and toilets but is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs when the course is boggy.
