Race for Life Pretty Muddy Bedford

Bedford, United Kingdom • 25 Jul 2026

Bedford Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Priory Park, Barkers Lane, Bedford MK41 9DJ. The route runs on a mixture of grass and tarmac paths within Priory Country Park. The start and finish are on grass; the start/finish area is on the grass field to the right of Cloverdale Café, next to the lake. The event gives participants the opportunity to climb, crawl and slide around obstacles; marshals are present to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed.

Participants must be 13 years of age or older. Start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course. The course is mostly on grass and can become boggy in poor weather, so it is not deemed suitable for wheelchair users.

Practical details include two event car parks outside the park: Bedford Athletics Stadium (approx. 12 minute walk, £4 prebooked) and Longholme Way Field (approx. 20 minute walk, free). Blue Badge parking and drop-off are available in the main Priory Country Park car park. The nearest bus stop is on Malmsbury Way served by the No. 10 route; Bedford Railway Station is about 3 miles away. A cycle rack is located outside Cloverdale Café. There are no electric vehicle charging points.

Entry prices shown are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community support and a finishers' medal.
