Foxton Hound Ultra
The Foxton Hound Ultra offers two trail distances based from Winwick Hall near Market Harborough and follows large sections of the Harborough Round long distance footpath through Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

Both routes pass through villages and places of historical interest, including Houghton on the Hill, West Haddon, Coton, Stoke Albany, Foxton Locks, the Naseby battlefield and the Kelmarsh Tunnel on the Brampton Valley Way. The courses include varied terrain with notable elevation changes and downhill sections.
Racing details: both events are licensed by the TRA and held under UKA rules. Minimum age for entry is 20 years on race day. The 100k has an overall cut-off of 18 hours with progressive checkpoint cut-offs from Checkpoint 3; the 50k has a 9 hour finish cut-off and no checkpoint cut-offs. Pacers are permitted on the 100k from Checkpoint 5. Crews and spectators are not permitted in Cottesbrooke village or at the Elkington water station. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event.
Navigation and recce: GPX files and written route instructions are available; routes will be marked but runners are expected to self-navigate. Free guided recces are offered.
Support and kit: professional first aid will be available at start and finish and volunteers will staff checkpoints. The 100k uses seven aid stations and the 50k uses three; hot food is served at specific checkpoints on the 100k. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone, at least 1 litre water capacity, survival blanket, head torch with spare batteries, waterproof jacket, whistle, long sleeve top or fleece, and a personal cup. Reflective top, hat and gloves are compulsory for the 100k only.
Prizes and extras: prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive an event medal. Free digital race photos are provided after the event.
