Event Overview
The Kingfisher Challenge is a six-hour running event where participants decide their own distance. They complete laps of a 5k (3.3-mile) circuit within the time limit. This format allows for participation at various distances, from a single lap to over 50 miles.
Course and Location
The event takes place at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry (CV3 2AB). The route primarily uses stone pathways, includes a meadow section on open grassland, and features mature woodland and waterways. The course is described as relatively flat. The park has on-site parking (costs apply), a cafe, and toilets.
Entry and Features
Entry pricing is tiered, with a lower cost before August 30, 2025. Participants receive a medal or, as an alternative, a tree token from Earth Runs that results in a tree being planted. The event is not suitable for running with dogs. It has previously won a Gold Award from Racecheck. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
